We'd also like to say thank you to everyone who sent gifts our way. Now that the photos are back, we'll be having some prints made up of the best shots, and we'll be sending thank you cards out shortly. Thanks again!
Thanks to everyone who came and made our day so special. We couldn't have done it without you!
Okay, as you can tell, the site has changed. It's now a memorial to the wedding day. It will be undergoing revision, mostly as we get more photos in. If you have photos or memories you'd like to share, feel free to mail them along to the email address at the bottom of the main page, and we'll had them as soon as we get the chance.
A seated dinner will be served to all guests (ensuring that we get to eat as well), and will include:
There's also wedding cake for desert. Our current plan is to have an open bar for all soda, beer, and wine, but the bar will charge for hard liquor and mixed drinks. This may change in either direction depending on our head count, but unfortunately, due to our budget, we cannot have a fully open bar. Still, feel free to get liquored up on local Washington Wine or fine area microbrews, on us.
Next, the invitations were sent out on Thursday, August 21st, so you should be recieving yours by the end of this week at the very latest. Please fill out the Respond Card with the numbers attending and your meal selections, and mail them to Mary's parents as soon as you can.
The honeymoon has also been resolved, thanks to a generous early gift from my Mom (Thanks Mom!). Mary and I will be spending a lovely week in Kona, Hawaii. We'll be sure to take lots of photos of fish and volcanos to share with everyone while we're there.
Most of the other minor details have also been handled. We have our Wedding Licenses, my tuxedo is all ready and set to go (I just need to drop about five pounds in the next seven weeks), the wedding bands have arrived, a string and flute trio has been booked for the ceremony, we met with our officiant and finalized the ceremony details, a song list is being worked up for the DJ, and we've rented a classic British Princess limosine to scoot us away from the Space Needle after the Reception.
We still have a bunch of meetings remaining to finalize some details, and there are some clothing issues that still need to be resolved, but we're sliding into the zone of meeting people, making contract payments, and getting ready to enjoy our celebration with our family and friends.
We also dropped off our design for our cake at Mike's, and discussed some options. We'll probably go back for one more tasting and we need to drop off some reference photos, but otherwise it's all set. The cake will somewhat resembe my crude sketch, reproduced below:
We're looking at Hotels near the Space Needle for our out of town guests, and there's a list of things to do locally on the Travel and Lodging Page.
