Honeymoon

For our Honeymoon, Paul's Mom gave us the most wonderful trip we could possibly imagine: a full week at Kona Village Resort. On the southwest coast of The Big Island of Hawai'i, this was an isolated paradise in the Pacific. No phones, no televisions, no radios were to be found in our individual huts, or Hales. Instead we woke to the chirping of tropical birds, and dined to the sounds of the surf gently lapping at the black and white sand beaches.

Besides the ocean swimming and great views, we were able to enjoy kayaking, snorkeling, and rum drinks from the Shipwreck Bar, with free marriage advice from our newest favorite bartender, Sid ("Happy Wife, Happy Life!"). We also managed to rent a car to drive around the island and visit Volcano National Park. Overall, it was a relaxing and beautiful getaway, that was greatly appreciated after months of wedding planning.

Thanks to the invention known as the Digital Camera, we were able to view and post photos of our trip to Hawaii within a week of our return to the mainland. Feel free to browse the gallery below for a taste of our week in paradise. And yes, we've already started a jar to fund our return trip.
